The Ararauna or blue-and-yellow macaw is a separate species in the genus of true macaws. The monogamous bird is always found as a pair in the wild, which distinguishes it from other macaws. In addition to its body shape and large, naked face, it is also typically colorful. The only difference to other macaws is that instead of red and green, yellow and blue dominate. If you want to paint large parrots, you need a colorful palette.
