Description
Osprey Nest, oil on canvas
128 x 90 cm
Creation year
1987
The osprey forms a separate order and is not closely related to other eagles. Due to its low demands on its habitat, it is not considered endangered, although global populations have declined sharply. It lives near bodies of water and catches its prey in a dive. The beautifully composed picture shows the feeding of the typical number of three young birds, which are already well developed and obviously hungry.
