Two Tawny Owls at Lake Sihl

Fritz liked to paint owls and did so very often. In this lithograph, however, it is not only the birds that are remarkable; their surroundings are also incredibly well done. The wintry landscape, only slightly illuminated by a weak evening sun, looks a little like a landscape wallpaper from the Art Nouveau period. The print was very popular with Fritz’s fan community and was sold out after a short time.
