Fritz Hug – Painter of Animals

“Fritz Hug – Painter of Animals” was published by Papyria Verlag in 1965, and a licensed second edition was published by the Ex Libris book club in 1970. The book comprises 128 pages with more than 50 color illustrations of oil paintings and approximately the same number of black-and-white brush drawings. A text entitled “Animals in Art and Culture” by German author Herbert Gröger explains the significance of the renowned Swiss artist and his work in art history.
