Fritz Hug – Animals as I See Them

The anniversary exhibition “100 Years of Fritz Hug” was originally scheduled to take place in 2021, but had to be postponed by a year due to the coronavirus pandemic. A good 30 of Fritz’ best works were on display at the Trittligasse Gallery in Zurich. The exhibition catalog, edited and designed by Annette Frei-Berthoud, who also created the anniversary film (Link: https://fritzhugthemovie.com/ ) contains 30 large illustrations, as well as 11 pages of well-written and informative texts on the work and life of the great Swiss artist.

The catalog also features, exhibited together for the first time, the three self-portraits from three different phases of life, which are shown below.
