Mother Hedgehog With Young

Unfortunately, we do not know what Ernst Wildi-Rohr, a collector of Hug’s works, and Fritz had agreed upon in the 1960s. In any case, for several years, Wildi-Rohr always purchased copy number 99 of each new Hug lithograph after Fritz had manually added additional touches to it. Over the years, around 20 such “enhanced” lithographs have been assembled. On this lithograph Fritz added a young offspring to this mother hedgehog; judging by its open eyes and dense coat of quills, it is already several weeks old.
