What works well with the individual animal works even better with this group of penguins: because their large bellies are nearly as white as the antarctic sky and the ice-covered ground, most of the picture consists of the white-grounded canvas. The grey feet, the splayed wings and the colored parts of the heads each form a stripe across the picture. With just a little paint, an impressive composition has been created.
