Hansruedi and Astrid Nideröst collect Hug works with a unique passion. Every now and then they come across works of great rarity. This small painting of roses probably dates from the 1950s and is not typical of Fritz’s painting style. It is characterized by strong contrasts with the bright flowers in yellow and pink and the dark background in the complementary colors brown and green.
