Description

Seal in the Water, oil on canvas

Creation year

1979

Anyone who has seen seals in a zoo knows that from land you can usually only see their faces when they come up for air. When the light refracts in the dark, moving water, a colorful, ornamental carpet of colors is created. Only the animal’s eyes and snout in the middle of the picture are recognizable as representational painting at first glance.
