Lizard on Red

There is a few unusual things about this picture: it was painted on bright red fabric. And Fritz did not place the signature in a corner, but in the middle of the picture. However, the animal’s head and the very detailed eye deserve special attention. When enlarged, it appears three-dimensional; you seem to be able to look straight into the animal’s soul through the rounded vitreous body. It is hardly possible to depict an eye more realistically with paint and brush.
