The first enclosure for snow leopards at Zurich Zoo was financed in part by two Hug lithographs of leopard babys, the proceeds of which went entirely to the zoo. Over the years, Fritz has repeatedly painted or drawn young snow leopards, usually a series of them, showing the animals in various typical poses. In this picture, the little cat is practising hissing, but without seriously frightening anyone.
