Description
Hyena in Amboseli Park, watercolor on vat paper
Creation year
1970s
When Fritz was out and about, he liked to use the charcoal pencil because he then had little material to carry with him, just the pencil and some paper. Later, in the studio, he used the sketches as the basis for other works. And he often enhanced particularly well-made charcoal sketches with a little watercolor to create a work of art in its own right, like this attentive hyena from Amboseli National Park in Kenya.
