Spectacled Langurs and Their Sun Children

Fritz spent a good part of his childhood in Indonesia, but as an adult he never traveled to Southeast Asia again. He therefore only knew the spectacled langurs from Zurich Zoo, which kept this species in the 1970s and 1980s. Fritz was probably inspired to paint this picture by the striking color difference between the rather inconspicuous, grey-black parents and their bright orange young.
