Orangutan Baby

Orangutans are extinct in large parts of Southeast Asia. Only on Borneo and Sumatra do remaining populations survive, but even there they are endangered due to the deforestation of the rainforests. We do not know whether this was the artist’s intention, but this lithograph of a baby orangutan expresses the true vulnerability of these wonderful animals.
