Description
Zürich – View from the Hohe Promenade to the Grossmünster, oil on canvas
Creation year
1940s
Before he became known as an animal painter, in the late 1940s and 1950s, Fritz made a name for himself with his cityscapes of Zurich, which he exhibited with great success in the well-known Zurich gallery Max Bollag. The picture shows the towers of the Grossmünster church, seen from the hill of the Hohe Promenade on a sunny fall day.
