Description
Mountain Forest in Autumn, oil on canvas
40 x 100 cm
Creation year
1980s
The painting shows a patch of mountain forest in autumn with its typical gnarled and rather small trees. The leaves have already turned brown or fallen off completely, and the shrubs and grasses on the ground have become dry and yellow. A chaffinch, the most common bird species in Switzerland, is probably looking for seeds or nuts. Nature is preparing for its winter rest, and the painting also radiates harmony and tranquility.
