Kilimanjaro

There are not many watercolors by Fritz that depict exclusively landscapes. This painting of Kilimanjaro was probably created on the same trip as the one with the hoopoe (see link below), but on a different day, or perhaps just at a different time of day, at dawn or dusk. Due to the lack of sunshine, the blue and red tones are weaker, while green and gray are more prominent.
