The Reformed Church of San Lurench in Sils Baselgia stands almost on the banks of the Inn, which flows there wide and calm through the Engadin. In the background the striking Piz da la Margna towers above the village. What makes this picture special is the bright evening light shining into the valley from the southwest, giving the mountains and their reflection in the water colors reminiscent of Ferdinand Hodler’s mountain landscapes.
