Mountain Meadow Near Disentis

This monumental work depicts a flower meadow in early summer against the mountain panorama above Disentis. Fritz painted only a few pictures of this size, and almost always with motifs of flowers and/or mountain landscapes. Because animals are usually a must in Fritz’s work, a small nestling can be seen in the foreground of the picture, probably a skylark or a tree pipit.
