Description

Goat at the Gantrisch, oil on canvas

Creation year

1986

In the 1980s, Fritz often explored the landscape around the Gurnigel Pass and painted whatever caught his eye. This painting was also created there. The title “Goat at Gantrisch” is an alliteration, and there is indeed a goat in the picture, but the main role is actually claimed by the blue monkshood in the middle of the picture, whose striking colors are matched in the shady slopes of the Gantrisch.
