Red Deer in Autumn Forest

This lithograph of a magnificent red deer is colorfully devoted entirely to the autumn forest. Almost every stag that Fritz painted is from the autumn or early winter because before that, the antlers – which are so interesting for the draftsman – are not yet fully formed and thereafter have already been shed again.
