Ricordo della Capriasca

One of our earliest childhood memories was of summer vacations in Ticino, more precisely in Sala Capriasca. This vacation picture of goats in a pasture always hung in our house and accompanied all three Hug children throughout their lives. It was painted in Fritz’s style of the 1960s, on white primed canvas with strong contours and clear lines. The dry summer landscape is wonderfully depicted with little effort.
