Description

Camargue Horses, oil on canvas

Creation year

1976

The Camargue horses, a mostly white, strong breed of horse, which today are mostly bred as mounts, live semi-wild in herds in the Camargue, a large wetland in the Rhone delta. With this picture of a galloping small herd reflected in the water below, Fritz has once again created a masterpiece. During his lifetime, it was one of his best-known works.
