Herd of Buffaloes

In the foreground of the picture, withered grasses are painted as vertical lines, while in the background, the sky, clouds, horizon, and steppe form calm horizontal stripes. The buffaloes are recognizable as individual dark spots, but also as a curved line from bottom to top left, in which the herd follows the lead animal. The result is an ornamental work in which the artist plays with color, form, and light.
