Three Giraffes Against a Sky-Blue Background

In nature you wouldn’t see three giraffes against a sky-blue background like in this picture without any horizon. It is therefore an artistic flourish. Fritz depicts three adult giraffes in various poses. The dominant reddish-brown of the animals and the complementary light-blue background create a striking color contrast. While the bodies almost fill the width of the image, the 12 legs form a sort of striped pattern with the background. The heads, in turn, are mirrored, so to speak, on a vertical axis of symmetry.
