Description
Greater Kudu, oil on canvas
100 x 80 cm
From the collection of the Atelier Fritz Hug
Creation year
1970s
First exhibited at the Helmhaus Zurich in 1979
Fritz has always been fascinated by the diversity of nature, for him it was creation. The antlers and the horns of ungulates in their diversity therefore became motifs for his works time and again. If the red deer and the moose are the kings of antlers, for the horn bearers it is perhaps the greater kudu with its long, powerful and sinuous horns, depicted in all their beauty in this painting.
