Hippo Maternité Watercolor

The motif “Hippo Maternité” exists as a lithograph, as well as an oil painting. The first draft for both works, however, was this watercolor. Composition, perspective and coloring could thus be “rehearsed” with little effort. In doing so, however, an independent work of art was created. Many fans of Fritz Hug love his light and artistically brilliant watercolors and collect only these.
