R. and R. Schlageter-Hofmann, a wealthy couple from Zollikon near Zurich, donated a baby elephant from Sri Lanka to the Zurich Zoo in 1976, transport costs included. The donation was celebrated at a “christening party”, and the young lady elephant was christened “Ceyla-Himali”. Fritz drew the little Ceyla for the first time for the invitation card.
